What is lenso.ai’s API?
Lenso.ai’s API is an Application Programming Interface made by Lenso AI that allows different software applications to communicate, exchange data, and use lenso.ai’s functions. With lenso’s API, other applications can display results and sources from lenso.ai, with no need to communicate to the users that lenso.ai’s being used as a middleman.
In basic terms, an image is being sent to the client application (your application), and lenso.ai makes an image search for you. Then, lenso returns the results to you, and you can display them on your side.
What is lenso.ai’s reverse image search API?
Lenso.ai’s Reverse Image Search API is an API specifically made for displaying duplicates, places, related, and similar categories from lenso.ai.
What is lenso.ai’s facial search API?
Lenso.ai’s Face Search API is an API made for displaying images from the People category only. Meaning, your customers would be able to make a face search in your application!

Lenso.ai’s API Features and Capabilities
Lenso.ai’s API allows users to make reverse image searches, but other than this, it has a few additional features!
Categories
Lenso.ai’s API offers multiple categories that are also available via the normal search: People, Places, Duplicates, Similar and Related.
Sorting
Lenso.ai’s API allows you to sort:
- From the newest results*
- From the oldest results*
- From the best match to the worst match
- From the worst match to the best match
*Newest or oldest results refer to the date of crawling, not the date of the result appearing online
Filter by URL
Specify the domain to search only on that specific website.
Filter by date
Set the range of dates in which you’d like to search. The dates refer to the time of crawling.
Displaying multiple pages
Lenso’s API only returns 20 results per call (1 page per call); however, you can display multiple pages at once if needed.
How to access lenso.ai’s API?
You can access the API by purchasing the Developer Subscription or sending a request to [email protected]. We will gladly offer a custom plan if needed!

Lenso.ai’s documentation can be found both in your API tab (visible to the subscribed users only) or on GitHub: GitHub Documentation for lenso.ai’s API.
API Panel
You will be able to track your API usage in your API panel. The API panel consists of:
- your API key,
- number of used API requests,
- API requests chart,
- documentation.
- In the regions where face search is available, you can also find your API agreement.

How to begin using the API?
- To start using the API, register on lenso.ai and start a developer subscription
- You will receive your own Authorization Token. You can find it in the API tab on your profile
- Using the instructions in the documentation, make an API call
- You can see your API usage statistics in the API tab on your profile
